Marinated Strawberries

Super easy marinated strawberries with mint and basil
Prep Time 10 minutes
Marinating time at least 1 hour

Servings 2 to 6 people


  • Colander or sieve
  • bowl
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Spoon
  • Wooden or bamboo skewers (optional)


  • 500 grams Strawberries
  • 5 big or 10 small Mint leaves
  • 5 big or 10 small Basil leaves
  • 3 TBspn Runny Honey (or agave or maple syrup)


  • Wash the strawberries
  • Cut the crowns off and cut them in half
  • Cut the basil and mint leaves into very thin strips
  • Put everything in a bowl and add the honey. Mix it carefully as to not bruise or damage the strawberries
  • Cover and place in the fridge to marinate for at least 1 hour. The longer you marinate, the more intense the flavour gets
  • You can eat them straight out of the bowl, or you can put them on skewers and serve them that way
  • Great on their own, with a dollop of (vegan) cream or a scoop of ice cream.
