For a tangy variation, add 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 clove garlic & 1/2 tsp salt into the blender, together with the nuts & the water. Blend all together until the consistency is smooth & creamy.
Sour Nut Cream
To make nut-based sour cream, add 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp white wine vinegar, 1 tsp Dijon mustard and 1/2 tsp of onion powder. Blend all together until the consistency is smooth & creamy.
Spicy Nut Cream
For a spicy nut cream, add 1/2 cup of oat milk, 2 cloves of garlic, 2 tbsp light soy sauce or tamari, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp dried chilli or chilli powder, 3 tbsp lemon juice. Blend all together until the consistency is smooth & creamy. For extra spice you can up the paprika or add a bit more dried chilli.
Sweet Nut Cream
For a sweet nut cream, add 1/3 cup of oat milk, 2 tsp of vanilla extract and 1-2 tbsp of maple syrup. Blend until smooth and creamy.
