Mark Valencia — Hi Sueanne, yes you could freeze it, although, this cordial would last at least 12 months in the cupboard/shelf as is anyway so we just store ours at room temp. I've also made a ginger syrup/cordial which is really tasty here's a video I made on YT if you are interested... https://youtu.be/kpawB_C......
Sueanne — Love love love cordial could the syrup be frozen instead if bottled to keep all year....

Permaculture what is the point graphic

In this article, I challenge permaculture as a concept and I question its rules and principles to unearth the real relevance, if any, permaculture has to the everyday backyard gardener striving for self-sufficiency.  And, I answer the question, "should we follow permaculture or our heart?"

Mark Valencia — Hi Rabid Hippy, I stand by what I allude to in my post and find many permaculture people high almighty preachers of the unachievable for many of us. I say, "You don't have to be self-sufficient in everything... Just be self-sufficient in something." There's nothing black and white about that Thanks......
Rabid Little Hippy — As someone who considers herself a permie (not that I have a PDC, nor have a I read the book) I have never found permaculture to be so rigid and unforgiving as you portray it to be. I have actually found the term self sufficient to be very black and white. Our garden is zoned but not in a way that w......
Mark Valencia — Hi Paul, I used zoning as an example and permaculture has lots of other "principles/rules" also. But reference your question, yes, I certainly dismissed that step; therefore, I can't really call myself a permaculturalist (by the book). Although, I can call myself other things like: an environmentall......

Whole Jalapenos

This pizza recipe works best with the mild jalapenos because it's the tangy flavour and thick walls of the fruit not necessarily the “heat” that's important for this tasty recipe.

Mark — Hi Elaine, I'm wrapped you commented and I love to hear children being encouraged to cook and dehydrate food etc!
