I've never owned a Royal Rooster feeder or drinker but I have purchased several PVC feeders and drinkers in my time from their competitors and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been close to getting one or wish I had purchased one to try at least. I have played with them at poultry shows and they are well made - PVC is a pretty robust material.

I do like the Royal Rooster feeder design with the compartments in the feed chamber, which is unique to PVC feeders because the rest have open chambers and this means grain all over the ground. The only other exception in the PVC feeder field is the Dine-a-Chook feeder with it's keel divider to limit feed spill otherwise these are the only two feeders that try to address feed raking out.

I do know of people first hand who own the Royal Rooster feeder drinker combination and I've heard nothing bad from them.

My only slight concern would be if you wanted this feeder for a mixed species flock (such as mine - ducks and chickens) the ducks would have a difficult time getting their bills into the grill/compartments in the feed chamber but most people don't need to worry about that...

Well, that's my "Editors Review" on the Royal Rooster feeder/drinker combo deal naturally if you actually do own this product then your review is welcomed!

We have this feeder & drinker set (used by 3 chickens). Both are well made & durable. But even though the feeder has compartments, the chickens still manage to flick a lot onto the ground (we use mash). For this reason we're considering changing to a treadle feeder.
