I put my Breville Coffee & Spice Grinder to the ultimate test by processing about 3kgs of dried turmeric. Although I did look after it by not running the grinder for too long at any one time (no more than about 30 seconds) nor did I attempt to get greedy and overload the bowl, I still used it continuously for about 30 minutes a session and it worked a treat.

In the end, I was very happy with the grinding results and the build quality seems to be very good. It's easy to clean and doesn't take up much bench or cupboard space - basically, it does the job well!

The only quibble I have is the power cord being under the base of the grinder sometimes pops out from the recess in the base and has to be tucked away back into the recess otherwise it won't sit evenly on the bench top. I think the cord should simply come out from the side of the appliance rather than under and this would easily solve this minor issue.

Overall, I'm impressed with this grinder and definitely recommend it!
