The chickens are given a choice of several different and common types of food to eat all at the same time and the results are documented/compared.

You may be surprised at which feeds the hens really loved and what feeds they didn't like so much. The results weren't just done for a laugh as there are some findings backing up other evidence showing that perhaps we should consider chicken feed a little more closley rather than just getting the :same ole" off the shelf.
