G’day Mark I would describe myself as a start & stop veg gardener. I too live in S.E Qld but in Logan City. I recently found your U Tube channel by accident & I’m happy I did. As I’m a little behind getting my Veg garden growing since the ground has had a great drink in recent times. Well as I’m a little behind, I went to Bunnings yesterday & today & came out disappointed as it appears the panicking masses have bought every veg plant & every packet of veg seeds. What the???
Who on line do you purchase from, as may be that’s a better chance of securing my veges. I also grow organic when I grow & love the taste of my own produced Veges.
Now to give you a back pat, I love how you produce your videos & I enjoy your sense of humour. Those who don’t must be missing something. You are a fair dinkim Aussie that we Kiwis like to know so don’t change your personality for anybody Mate.
Thumbs up & cheers.

Hi Mark, Rob here from Mandurah W.A. Recently created a YouTube acc just so I could subscribe to your channel ?. Anyway I’ve started to uplift my gardens at my new long term rental property after watching your videos (I think all of them by now) and I’ve run into some stumbling blocks which I can not find any answers on YouTube or google anywhere! So perhaps it could be a good video idea for yourself since I’m sure I’m not the only one who has ran into the same issues. I have planted three brand new citrus trees orange and mandarin from Bunnings across my back fence. They have been going well over the last month or so. The main stems are roughly 1 foot high with one main scaffold branch coming off each plant and the scaffold branches are much higher than the main stem. Do I prune these off leaving no leaves on the tree? Or do I wait till the trees are more established? I understand there are thousands of videos out there on caring for fruit trees however I have found in all examples the fruit trees that are demonstrated on are much larger and have more branches than mine. They are starting to get new growth now. Would love some feedback before I go making the wrong move and potentially hurting my babies haha. Thanks for the inspiration mate keep up the good work ?

Dear Mark, I have just discovered your videos on YouTube! I just love what you are doing en though I do not have a big garden, already I can implement some of your tips. I have one question for you, please. I planted a peach tree 2 years ago and already last year had more than 30 peaches on the tree! I was so excited! Lo and behold I had none of the peaches as our bird friends had a feast! We have a lovely spot where we feed the birds of the environment - all the varieties, but the peach tree was just too much of an attraction to them! Do you have any suggestions how I can secure at least a few of the peaches for own use? By the way I live in SA - also in the Southern Hemisphere!. Warm greetings, Daleen van Niekerk
